The administrative center is the village of Malfa .
History
The volost was formed on November 12, 1910 from a part of the Krasnoselsky volost .
In 1918 - 1919 from the Malfinsky volost the newly formed Nikolskaya volost was temporarily allocated.
During the enlargement of the volosts, in May 1924, the Malfinsky volost was abolished, and its territory was transferred to the Bezhitsky district and included in the newly formed Zhiryatinsky volost .
Now the territory of the former Malfinsky volost is divided between the Vygonichsky and Zhiryatinsky districts of the Bryansk region .
