History
The monument was erected on the area of the Discoverers of Bashkir Oil in 1969 [1] [2] . Located on a memorial site lined with granite slabs [2] . A twelve-meter granite figure, revealing the wealth of the bowels, depicts a muscular torso of a geologist pulling oil out of the Ural stone with effort and transmitting physical effort with an energetic tilt of the head and muscle tension. The monument displays a feeling of great spiritual and physical strength of a person, opening the bowels of the earth and conquering them [3] . According to the authors, the monument is a massive stone with a powerful figure of a geologist growing out of it - a hero, tearing a rock [1] [2] .
In the nature of the generalization of the powerful male figure, in the processing of granite, the influence of Soviet military monuments, in particular, the Volgograd sculpture “ Mother Mother Calls! "Sculptor E.V. Vuchetich or installed in the city of Chelyabinsk in 1967, the monument" The Tale of the Urals "by sculptor V. S. Zaikov. In the work of Bashkir authors, the naked athletic torso also seems to grow out of the rock. Slightly leaning back and putting his hands on the stones, the man peers into the schism, as in the open bowels of the earth. Depriving a gigantic figure of visible effort and tension, the authors claim confidence in the action being taken. Such an image of the conqueror of the elemental forces of nature was characteristic of all Soviet monumental art of that time [4] .
