James Leadbetter ( born December 23, 1980 ) is an English professional snooker player . He became a professional in 2000, and before that he was the champion of the Pontins Star of the Future junior tournament. The best place in the world ranking of snooker players is 76th (according to the results of the 2006/07 season ). Leadbetter made his highest break in official matches (142 points) at the 3rd tournament of the 2000/01 season challenge tour .
