Create an album
According to an interview with Varg Vikernes , material for the album was prepared before, during and after his imprisonment. [4] The style of the album, according to Varg himself, is close to “ Hvis lyset tar oss ” and “ Filosofem ”.
The album was written on high-quality equipment, using a good microphone, unlike most of the previous ones. [five]
A cover photo was taken near Varg's house.
I chose it, because it corresponds to the idea of the album: Bel is a solar deity, on the cover he remains a mystery, because he is not visible. Only the sun's rays breaking through the fog are visible. In addition, the deities, in fact, all the deities, were originally tree spirits, and therefore I believe that the tree that prevents us from seeing Bel himself is well located in the picture. By the way, the pine tree that does not allow us to see Bel is dedicated to Kaymadalt (Heimdall - “guardian of the gods”). Varg Vikernes [5]
