Design
Structurally, it is a micro-UAV, made according to the scheme of a flying wing , with a pulling propeller, a rotary electric motor running on batteries. The target equipment includes information transmission equipment, as well as a small-sized video camera or digital camera, or thermal imager. The apparatus is launched from the hands using an elastic or pneumatic catapult and does not require a specially equipped runway. Landing is carried out using a parachute. Receiving information from an unmanned vehicle and issuing commands to it is carried out through a control unit, implemented on the basis of a portable personal computer .
Application
The ZALA 421-04M UAV passed the state testing program in 2008 and has been in service with the security forces since the same year: the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia , the border service of the Federal Security Service of Russia , the Russian Emergencies Ministry , the Anti-Terrorist Center of the CIS, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan . In their work, ZALA 421-04M UAVs are used by Fish Protection , Avialesokhrana , Gazprom [1] , hydrometeorological services of Russia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. In the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, this device is used to combat forest fires, illegal logging and to alert the population in emergency situations. Gazprom uses the ZALA 421-04M UAV for the purpose of anti-terrorism protection, ensuring the safety and security of facilities, ensuring technological safety, monitoring the technical and engineering status of gas pipeline infrastructure, obtaining data for repair and construction, and environmental monitoring [2] . βAvialesokhranaβ using the ZALA 421-04M UAV monitors forestry activities, monitors ongoing peat fires, patrols local areas of the forest fund, and inspects the condition of fires [3] .
