Description
A bee with a length of 10 to 15 mm. The abdomen is completely covered with red long hairs, while the rest of the body is also long, but black. [one]
Distribution
It is found in Europe , North Africa , in the north and southwest of Asia .
Ecology and habitats
It feeds on nectar and pollen of species of 13 plant families.
Development
A bee makes nests in different crevices between stones in rocks or in cracked cladding of old houses, but more often in dead wood (boards, beams, logs). [one]
