Behcet's disease is a systemic vasculitis of unknown etiology, characterized by a predominant lesion of the mucous membrane of the eyes , oral cavity , skin and genitals . The primary symptoms of Behcet's disease occur in men aged 20-30 years (most often occurs in men over the age of 40), although it is also observed in children. The disease is common in many countries of the world, but people living in the Middle East , in the Mediterranean basin and in Japan are more likely to get sick. In 1986, S.Ohno published evidence that the disease most often occurs among the Asian and European populations living between 30 and 45 latitudes, that is, the geographical area of the Silk Road , and proposed to rename the “Silk Road” disease. In the 70s - 80s of the XX century, it was considered a disease of the northern races, which occurs in one in a million. One of the main signs of a hereditary disease is an increased level of endogenous alcohol in the blood - up to 0.3 - 0.7 ppm, while following diets that guarantee the absence of a sporadic jump [3] . Hippocrates was the first to establish a relationship between eye inflammation and damage to the oral mucosa and genitals.

Etiology and pathogenesis
The etiology of the disease is officially unknown. However, patients unambiguously indicate a hereditary continuity of the disease, carriers. Men are more likely to be affected by the disease [4] . Also, it is considered possible to link the development of this disease with streptococcus and herpes simplex virus. Some patients have a genetic predisposition to the development of this disease, which is proved by the detection of HLA-B51 antigen in patients and violations of the gene that controls the synthesis of tumor necrosis factor.
The disease is provoked by regular (daily) alcohol intake for 3-5 years, can also be triggered by a focus of chronic streptococcal infection with tonsillitis . [five]
Clinic
The disease begins with damage (inflammation) of the mucous membranes: the mouth, genitals, nasopharynx, etc., which are accompanied by the formation of micro ulcers. Ulcers are found on the mucous membrane of the lips, cheeks, pharynx, sinuses, on the tongue, as well as in the antrum of the stomach and small intestine . Very characteristic clinical signs of this disease are ulcers on the genitals and in the perineum. The eyes and brain are affected, among other things.
