Biography
Anatoly Aleksandrovich Anokhin was born on June 1, 1942 in Gorokhovets, Ivanovo Region (since 1944 - in the Vladimir Region ).
In 1959 - 1964 he studied at the Faculty of Geography of Leningrad State University.
In 1965 - assistant of the Novgorod Pedagogical Institute.
In 1967 he was transferred to Leningrad State University, a junior research fellow at the Geography Research Institute.
Since 1968 - Assistant of the Department of Economic and Social Geography, Leningrad State University .
In 1972 he defended his thesis on the study of regional features of demographic processes.
In 1987 he defended his doctoral dissertation, in which the theoretical foundations of geographical studies of social differences in the USSR were developed.
Since 1989 - Professor, Department of Economic and Social Geography, Leningrad State University .
Since 1997 - Head of the Department of Economic and Social Geography, St. Petersburg State University .
