Geographical position
The village of Volchye is located on the left bank of the Kolomak River . Upstream adjoins the village of Vysokopolye . Downstream 1 km is the village of Gvozdevo . Near the village there is a large forest tract Khmelevoe (oak). The nearest railway station in the direction of Poltava-Kharkov South-Western Railway is Vodianaya station (3.5 km).
Name Origin
The name of the farm comes from the nickname of the first settlers of the brothers Peretz Dmitry, Vasily and Gregory. In the village of Vysokopol they were called "wolves".
History
- 1923 - foundation of the settlement.
- 1941 - there were 27 courtyards in the village. Here was the central manor of the collective farm "Ukrainian".
- 1997 - attached to the village of Vysokopolye [1] .
