Lyudmila Ivanovna Samotyosova ( Ignatyeva , October 26, 1939 , Bryansk ) - Soviet athlete . Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (1970).

From the age of 16 she began to engage in athletics. Samotyosova was a universal sprinter. For almost 12 years, Lyudmila was a multiple champion and record holder of the USSR, Europe and the world in running distances. She participated in three Olympiads - in Rome , Tokyo and Mexico City . But only at her last Olympics in Mexico City in 1968 she was able to earn a bronze medal in the relay 4 Γ 100 meters. Lyudmila was preparing for the 4th Olympics , but young and no more powerful athletes were preferred.
Samotyosova was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the Bryansk Region (according to the Committee on Youth Policy of Physical Education and Sports of the Bryansk Region).
