Greenbushes (field)

Greenbuches is an Australian mine with unique tin and tantalum reserves.

The field is located in the state of Western Australia , 250 km south of Perth [1] .

The field was discovered at the end of the 19th century . Tin has been mined here since 1888 , tantalum has been mined since 1977 [1] .

The thickness of the ore bodies reaches 40 meters, their length is 2-3 km. The ore consists of tantalite , columbite-tantalite , cassiterite , spodumene , beryl [1] .

The city of Greenbushes was formed near the field, in 1898 a railway line was laid here.
