It was originally formed in 2005, it included the territories of Shchucheisky and part of the Horovatsky rural districts. On March 21, 2013, the law of the Tver region [1] was adopted on the merger of Shchucheysky and Trinity rural settlements, the borders of the newly formed Shchucheysky rural settlement coincide with the boundaries of Shchucheysky and Trinity rural settlements, excluding the boundaries of their joint adjacency, and cover the territory of the respective transformed municipalities. On the territory of the settlement are 43 settlements. The center of the settlement is Shchuchye village.
Geographical information

- Finding: southern part of Zharkovsky district
- Borders:
- in the north and east - with the Zharkovsky joint venture and the village of Zharkovsky
- in the south - with the Smolensk region , Dukhovschinsky and Demidovsky districts.
- in the north-west - with Novoselkovsky joint venture

Hydrography: Lake Shchuchye , the Mezha River along the north-eastern border.
In the east, the settlement is crossed by an inactive railway line Zharkovsky-Soshno ( Ozerny , Smolensk region). A dirt road allows you to get to the village of Zharkovsky .
Economy
The main farms: the collective farm “Memory of Kirov” and the former state farms “Zharkovsky” and “New Way”.

According to the 2010 census, there were 718 people (215 in Troitsky and 503 in Shchucheysky rural settlement).

Former settlements
In 1999, the villages of Bolikhino, Zavarza, Kloptsovo and Tukolovo were excluded from the accounting data.

History
In the XII-XIV centuries, the territory of the settlement was part of the Grand Duchy of Smolensk . Since 1404 it has been a part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania , after the final accession of Smolensk to Russia in 1654, in the Smolensk Voivodeship. Since the XVIII century, the territory of the settlement was:
