Alexei Viktorovich Efentiev (born October 1, 1963 , Bayram-Ali , TSSR ) is a Soviet and Russian officer who performed combat missions in Afghanistan , Azerbaijan , Nagorno-Karabakh , Chechnya and Kosovo . Lieutenant Colonel Stock. For personal courage in the successful completion of tasks, he four times presented himself with the title of Hero of the Russian Federation, but was never awarded.

Biography
He was born on October 1, 1963 in the city of Bayram-Ali ( Turkmen SSR ) in the family of a hereditary military man. Grandfather Ivan Efentiev - Cossack chieftain, awarded four St. George crosses.
After graduating from school in 1981, he served in the Caspian flotilla of the USSR Navy. Upon returning, he entered the Baku Higher Combined Arms Command School named after the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan SSR . In 1986, after graduation, he volunteered to serve in Afghanistan , where he served as commander of an intelligence group until 1988. Then came Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh . From 1992 to 1994 - Chief of Staff of a separate reconnaissance battalion in Germany.
Since 1996, he has been commanding the reconnaissance company of the 166th Guards Separate Vitebsk-Novgorod twice Red Banner Motorized Rifle Brigade , one of the best and most combat-ready Russian troops in Chechnya . During the 1st Chechen war, his call sign "Gyurza" was known throughout the republic. On the account of Efentiev, dozens of raids on the rear of the Dudaevites , the assault of Bamut and the deblockade of the Coordination Center surrounded in the center of Grozny , during which many senior officers of the Army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a large group of Russian journalists were saved. For this feat in 1996, Alexei Efentiev was introduced to the title of “Hero of Russia”, but did not receive it.
Efentiev was the hero of many television programs on central TV channels. It was the prototype of “Cobra” in the film by Alexander Nevzorov “ Purgatory ” [1] .
After being demobilized, Alexey Efentiev took up agriculture and became the general director of Donskoye LLC in the Voronezh region. Having taken the bankrupt collective farm under his leadership, in two years Aleksey Viktorovich managed to achieve noticeable successes and worked with him until 2013, when it was liquidated.
Married, has three sons and a daughter.
