The festival jury was headed by actress from the UK Tilda Swinton [1] . The festival opened with the film “ International ” by Tom Tykwer .
In the festival program of the Berlin Film Festival in 2009, films from Great Britain, Denmark , Poland , France , Spain , Hungary , Peru, Iran , USA , and Italy were presented [2] .
The main prize of the festival - “ Golden Bear ” - received the film “ Milk of Sorrow ” / La Teta Asustada, directed by Claudia Llosa from Peru .
