Botanical DescriptionMorphology
Perennial plant with a shortened stem, forming rosettes , up to 80-100 cm high and 1.5-2 m wide. The leaves are fleshy, lanceolate or scapular, serrated at the edges, 60β80 cm long, up to 20 cm wide. The color of the leaves in young plants is bluish-green, and in adults, yellow-green. Flowering usually begins after over ten years, the peduncle grows up to 5-6 m long, the flowers are greenish yellow in length about three centimeters.
Reproduction
Mostly seeded .
CultivationPrefers sunny places, sandy soils with good drainage . It should be abundantly watered during the growth period. In winter, if watering is carried out, it is very rare, the dry content is preferable, since under such conditions the plant tolerates low temperatures better.
Natural RangeThe species is distributed mainly in the north-west of Mexico , at an altitude of 800-1800 m.
