Election results
The 1994 parliamentary elections in Slovakia were held on September 30 and October 1 and were the first parliamentary elections after the establishment of independent Slovakia in 1993 . 18 parties and coalitions claimed for 150 seats of the People’s Rada of the Slovak Republic . Elections were held according to a proportional system .

The turnout in the elections was 75.65%.
Consequences
Following the election, the Movement for a Democratic Slovakia , the Slovak National Party , the Association of Workers of Slovakia and the Slovak Agrarian Party, which did not enter the parliament, formed the ruling coalition. For the second time, Vladimir Meciar became Prime Minister of independent Slovakia.
