Biography

Pupil of the club "Vitoria" from Salvador . He began his professional career in this team in 2000 , but he was not very impressed with his team leadership and in 2003 he was sold to (at that time) Serie B club “Sport Recife”. In the second half of the 2004 season he played for Ponte Preto and scored 6 goals in 14 matches.

Vitoria remembered about his pupil and in 2005 he spent his first really strong season, scoring 13 goals for the team in 20 matches of Series B of the Brazilian championship.

The strikers became interested in the Serie A club Cruzeiro, which quickly bought the rights to the player. In early 2006, Alexandro was not destined to play for the “foxes”, since the place at the base was given to Elber , who spent his last season in his career. But later he pretty well joined the team and scored 11 goals in 18 championship games. In August, the player was leased to the Portuguese Sporting. For the season spent in Portugal, Alexandro scored 8 goals. Upon his return to Brazil, he continued to score goals with rather impressive stability - 10 goals in 13 matches of Serie A. In total, in 2006-2007. Alexandro scored 24 goals in 45 games for Cruzeiro.

In 2008, there was a discouraging football community transition Alexandro in the club from the championship of the United Arab Emirates. Fortunately, this inexplicable voyage did not drag on for a long time and already at the beginning of 2009 the striker was acquired by the current winner of the South American International Cup . On January 28, the player officially joined the team. Alexandro spent the 2009 season at the highest level: 14 goals in 25 matches of the Brazilian championship, and a total of 35 goals in 70 games for Inter in all matches of the team.

In 2011 he moved to Vasco da Gama, where in the first season he won the Brazil Cup. In 2013, the Admirals were forced to sell their attack leader to Atletico Mineiro because of financial difficulties. Together with Galos, Alexandro became the owner of the Libertadores Cup.
