Tulomsky zakaznik is a state nature reserve of federal subordination [1] on the Kola Peninsula of the Murmansk Region .

Location
It is located in the northwestern part of the peninsula north of the Tuloma River, west and east of the tributary of Tuloma - the Ulita River starting from its source [2] .
The exact boundaries of the reserve are the northern boundary - from the mouth of Ulita down Tuloma with its right bank to the mouth of the Gremyakha river, the eastern border - from the mouth of Gremyakha with its right bank up the river to Lake Gremyakha , then to the south by the western shore of Lake Gremyakha to the place where it flows into the stream lake connecting Lake Gremyakha and Vyrmes, then further up the stream to Vyrmes, then south to the western bank of Vyrmes to the place where the stream flows at the southern end of the lake, then up to this stream to its source in block 163 of the Murmashinsky forestry of the Kola forestry, from there about a conditional straight line to the southeast to the source of the nameless stream and then along this stream to its intersection with the southeastern corner of the quarter 163, the southern border - from the southeast corner of the quarter 163 to the west by the southern borders of the quarters 163-155 to the intersection with Ulita , the western border - from the point of intersection with the southern border of the quarter 155 to Ulita and then the left bank of this river to its mouth [3] .
Description
The area of the reserve is 337 km² on official papers and 325.8 km² on the map [4] .
The reserve was established on January 15, 1990 by order of Glavokhot No. 9 [5] . Its objectives include the protection of rare and of economic and cultural interest to animals, the conduct of scientific research and activities to preserve and take into account the wildlife of the reserve, the promotion of nature conservation and the maintenance of the overall ecological balance [3] .
The following is prohibited on protected land: hunting , fishing , deforestation , any economic activity, tourism and any other form of recreation, travel of private mechanized transport [1] .
The main objects of protection: elk , brown bear , wolverine , ermine , marten , mink , muskrat [6] .
