Varzi-Shudya is a village in the Alnash district of Udmurtia , part of the Romashkino rural settlement . It is located 5 km east of the village of Alnashi and 83 km south-west of Izhevsk .

There was no permanent population on January 1, 2008 [2] . In connection with the general population decline, it is planned to include the settlement in the borders of the village of Bokai [3] .
History
Before the revolution, the settlement of Varzi-Shudya was part of the Yelabuga district of the Vyatka province. In 1921, in connection with the formation of the Votka Autonomous Region , the settlement was transferred to the Mozhginsky district . In 1924, when the village councils were enlarged, he became part of the Alnash village council of the Alnash volost [4] . In 1929, the county-volost administrative division was abolished and the repair of Varzi-Shudya was added to the Alnash region [5] . On June 15, 1933, the Kinekshur collective farm was formed in the settlement of Varzi-Shudya of the Alnash village council of the Alnash region [6] .
In July 1950, by decision of the general meeting of collective farmers, the settlement became part of the united collective farm named after Pushkin, with a central estate in the village of Staraya Shudya . In 1958, the collective farms “named after Pushkin” and “named after Krupskaya” were merged into the collective farm “Russia”, which in 1963 was renamed the collective farm “Pravda”, the central estate of the collective farm was still located in the village of Staraya Shudya [6] .
In 1991, the Alnash village council was divided into the Alnash and Romashkinskiy village councils, the settlement was transferred to the new village council [7] . By a resolution of the State Council of the UR on October 26, 2004, the settlement of Varzi-Shudya of the Romashkino village council was transformed into the village of Varzi-Shudya [8] . On November 16, 2004, the Romashkinskiy village council was transformed into the municipality “Romashkinskoye” and endowed with the status of a rural settlement [9] .
