Varzibash is a village in the Alnash district of Udmurtia , part of the Kuzebayev rural settlement . It is located 11 km south-east of the village of Alnashi and 87 km south-west of Izhevsk . Located on the Varzi River.

The population as of January 1, 2008 is 273 people [1] .
History
In 1751, the parish of the Holy Trinity Church of the village of Alnashi was opened, it included several villages, including the village of Verkhnyaya Varzi-Omga [2] . After the opening of the parish of the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Varzi-Yatchi in 1841, residents of the village of Varzibash became parishioners of the new church [3] . According to the results of the tenth revision of 1859, in the 28 yards of the treasury village of Varziomga Upper (Varzibash) of the Elabuga district of the Vyatka province , 75 male and 94 female residents lived, the mill worked [4] . In 1882, the parish of the village of Golyushurma was opened , the inhabitants of the village became parishioners of the Ascension Church [5] , and since 1909, after the opening of the parish in the village of Klyuchevka, parishioners of his church [6] . By 1897, 607 people lived in the village [7] .
In 1921, in connection with the formation of the Votka Autonomous Region , the village was transferred to the Mozhginsky district . In 1924, when the village councils were enlarged, it became part of the Chemoshur-Kuyukovsky village council of the Alnash volost [8] . In 1929, the county-volost administrative division was abolished and the village was included in the Alnash district [9] . In 1929, complete collectivization began in the USSR, during which the Molot agricultural collective farm (collective farm) was formed in the village [10] .

In 1950, the enlargement of agricultural cartels was carried out, collective farms of several neighboring villages were merged into one collective farm named after Azin [10] . In 1954, the Chemoshur-Kuyukovsky Village Council was abolished and the village was listed in the Varzi-Yatchinsky Village Council [12] . By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic dated December 16, 1972, the village was transferred to the Muvazhinsky village council, by the same decree it was renamed the Kuzhebaevsky village council [13] .
On November 16, 2004, the Kuzhebaevsky village council was transformed into the Kuzhebaevskoye municipality and endowed with the status of a rural settlement [14] .
