The book tells how a retired U.S. Army General Mackenzie Haukins, who was unjustly dismissed from the armed forces, decided to retaliate in retaliation with the U.S. government, using the injustice perpetrated against a tribe of Indians living in Nebraska who were illegally evicted from the ancestral lands and built a military air base on them. The Indians, led by General Haukins, initiated a lawsuit against the US government, demanding the return of land. The military command, using a variety of dirty tricks, tried to prevent Haukins, however, he passed all the tests with honor, won a lawsuit and a moral victory, having achieved the payment of significant compensation to the members of the Indian tribe, which significantly increased their standard of living and contributed to the prosperity of the tribe. In general, it is notable for significant humor, which does not prevent the author from conducting a rather deep socio-political analysis of individual "ulcers" of American society against this background.
