Bayramov, Rovshan Dzhannet oglu

Rovshan Dzhannet oglu Bayramov ( azerb. Rövşən Cənnət oğlu Bayramov ; born May 7, 1987 , Baku , Azerbaijan SSR ) is a professional Azerbaijani Greco-Roman style wrestler, member of the national team of Azerbaijan . Champion of Europe 2007 and 2008, silver medalist at the World Championships 2006 and 2015, silver medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and 2012 London Games , bronze medalist at the 2009 World Championships (Goering, Denmark ), 2011 world champion ( Istanbul ) Master of Sports (since 2006), Honored Master of Sports (since 2009).

Biography

Rovshan Bayramov came to the struggle at the age of 12 according to the instructions of his relatives. He is a pupil of the Neftchi Sports and Fitness Center. The first coach was Gyulahmed Huseynov, whose Rovshan trained for 4 years, participating in children's and youth championships. In 2002, the trainer Hijran Sharifov became a fighter's mentor. Since 2014, the personal trainer of the athlete is Ilgar Abdullaev.

He is a graduate of the martial arts faculty of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports, where he studied in 2004-2008. Married, has one son.

Community Activities

In November 2014, the Baku 2015 European Games Operational Committee announced Rovshan Bayramov, along with ten other athletes from Azerbaijan, as sports ambassador to the first European Games. [one]

2008 Olympics

In Beijing, Bayramov represented Azerbaijan in the weight category up to 55 kg. Having defeated the representative of Egypt Mustafa Mohammed in the 1/8 finals, in the 1/4 finals Rovshan defeated Hernandez, an athlete from Cuba . In the semi-final, Bayramov's rival was an athlete from Armenia Roman Amoyan . Bayramov won in both rounds with a score of 7-2 and 4-1, respectively. In the final on August 12, Rovshan was opposed by a wrestler from Russia Nazir Mankiev . As a result, having lost with a total score of 6-5, Bayramov received a silver medal of the Olympic Games. 2012 Olympics

Becoming a world champion in 2011, Bayramov won a license for the 2012 Summer Olympics and represented Azerbaijan in London in the weight category up to 55 kg. Having lost only in the final, Bayramov also took a silver medal at this Olympics.

At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Rovshan Bayramov, having conquered Ryber Rodriguez from Venezuela and Jess Tielke from the USA, successively lost to Sinoba Ota from Japan [3] . So, leading 2-0 in the score, Bayramov came to receive Shinobu, who put him on his shoulder blades. In the battle for the bronze medal, Bayramov could not defeat Stig Andre Berge from Norway. The meeting ended with a score of 1: 1 and Bayramov lost due to Berge's last throw. Thus, the two-time winner of the Games Rovshan Bayramov completed his third Olympiad without medals [4] .

Awards and titles

By a decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated August 29, 2008, he was awarded the Order of Progress ( azerb. Tərəqqi ) for successful performance at the 19th anniversary of the Beijing Olympic Games. [5]

In 2008 he was elected the "Best Athlete of the Year" by FILA - International Wrestling Federation. [6]

According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated August 31, 2012, Rovshan Bayramov was awarded the “Honorary Diploma of the President of Azerbaijan” for his outstanding achievements at the XXX Summer Olympic Games in London, as well as for his achievements in the development of Azerbaijani sports.
