Alexander Prior was born on October 5, 1992 in London in the family of a Russian mother and an English father.
He first sat down at the piano at the age of three, at the age of eight he wrote the first musical work, performed with vocal opera parts. Studied at London's Royal College of Music . In 2005 he entered the St. Petersburg Conservatory in composition and conducting classes (Professor Alexander Vasilievich Alekseev ). He graduated from the conservatory in 2011.
In 2010, he was appointed assistant conductor of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra [1] .
Winner of the BBC Young Composer of the Year Competition (2005), Leeds Conducting Competition (2009) [2] . The author of more than 40 musical works, including opera, two ballets (including the Mowgli musical drama, staged by the State Theater of Classical Ballet on the stage of the Moscow Novaya Opera Theater, 2007 ), preludes, symphonies and piano concerts.
