The actual capacity of the station is 79.3 MW (for 2012). Design capacity 107.5 MW. According to the results of an open concession tender for the completion and operation of the Novoazovskaya wind farm for a period of 50 years, the winner was PEO Vetroenergoprom, which provides for the construction of 468 wind turbines to achieve design capacity. These units will generate 85.934 million kWh of electricity per year. PEO Vetroenergoprom is part of the Ukrpodshipnik corporation, which is controlled by the Klyuyev brothers [1] .
In 2006, 10 start-up lines were completed and 141 wind turbines of the USW 56-100 brand were commissioned (manufactured by JV Windenergo LTD under WindPower license). The rated power of one USW 56-100 wind turbine is 107.5 kW. In addition, two T600-48 wind turbines (manufactured by the Belgian company Turbowinds) with a rated power of 600 kW were installed at the station.
The first phase of the station was commissioned in 1998.
