“Red Bull Arena” ( German: Red Bull Arena ) is a stadium in the city of Leipzig , the home arena of the football club “ RB Leipzig ”, also holds the matches of the German national football team . The stadium was built in 1956 with a capacity of 100,000 spectators. Before perestroika in 1998, it was Germany's largest stadium and was called the "Central Stadium" . In July 2010, the Austrian company Red Bull GmbH leased the stadium and renamed it the Red Bull Arena for a period of at least 10 years.

Due to UEFA sponsorship rules, the stadium is called the RB Arena during the European Cup matches.
In June 2006, the stadium hosted 5 matches of the 2006 World Cup . It was the only stadium in the territory of the former GDR that hosted the World Cup matches.
