My friend Hitler ( Jap. わ が 友 ヒ ッ ト ラ ー Waga tomo hittor:) is a play by Yukio Mishima about friendship and politics, written in 1968. At the first production, the author gained a reputation as a brawler and a provocateur; many felt that the author expresses his attitude to the “defender of German blood and honor” (the name of the play is a quote from a replica of her character Rem). [1] The play takes place in 1934, characters: Adolf Hitler , Ernst Rohm , Gregor Strasser and Gustav Krupp .
The play was translated into Russian by G. Chkhartishvili ; In 2008, it was delivered in St. Petersburg with the support of the Jewish House of Culture ECOD and JOINT . The creators of the St. Petersburg play considered the play by Mishima anti-fascist. [one]
