Biography

Born on March 9, 1939 in Moscow in the family of Andrei Konstantinovich Romeyko (10.23.1899 - 04.11.1977) and Valentina Nikolaevna (in virgin Pokrovskaya) (02.23.1907 - 12.10.1955). Grandfather: Pokrovsky Nikolai Fedorovich (1882 - 03/07/1938) was shot at the Butovo training ground. Grandmother: Pokrovskaya (Larionova) Lyubov Fedorovna (1888-1972).

In 1956 she graduated from secondary school No. 656 in Moscow with a silver medal. .

She entered the Faculty of Geography of Moscow State University and graduated in 1961 with a degree in geomorphology .

Since 1961 he has been working at the Faculty of Geography: first as a senior laboratory assistant, then as a technician, junior research assistant and senior engineer. In 1972, she was elected by competition as an assistant, and since 1981 - assistant professor of the Department of Cryolithology and Glaciology .

In 1979 she defended her thesis on the topic "Avalanche danger of the BAM route." The formation of her scientific interests was greatly influenced by Professor G.K. Tushinsky, who since 1961 was the unchanged leader of her scientific work and candidate dissertation. For almost 20 years, her scientific activity was carried out together with Professor K. F. Voitkovsky .

He studies the regime and evolution of mountain glaciers and other nival-glacial systems in the mountains; the study of the patterns of distribution, structure and properties of snow cover in the mountains and on the plain; assessment and mapping of avalanche hazard in mountainous areas; conducting stationary and field snow-avalanche studies; solving environmental problems and the tasks of recreational development of the highlands of the Caucasus .

For over 40 years he has been conducting field research in the mountains of the Caucasus and the Alps , Kamchatka and the Kuril Islands , Khibiny and Sakhalin , Pribaikalye and Transbaikalia , the mountains of Primorye and the Far East . At present, Volodicheva N.A. is one of the leading specialists of the department in the main areas of general and regional glaciology, snow science and avalanche science. Develops new directions - glacioecology and recreational glaciology. She has developed programs and prepared lecture courses. .

She gave lectures on glaciology at the Humboldt University in Berlin , at the University of Ludwig Maximilian in Munich ( Germany ), spent more than 10 years in the Caucasus teaching and educational practices for geography students from the universities of Warsaw and Budapest , Prague and Bratislava , Berlin and Munich .

In 1990-2001, she was the leader of the topic of an international project on the collaboration with geographers of the universities of Berlin and Munich .

At Moscow State University, he gives lecture courses for students of the Department of Cryolithology and Glaciology: “Glaciology”, “Avalanche Studies”, “Snow Cover of the Earth”, “Recreational Glaciology”, “Modern Problems of Glaciology”; for students of the fifth year of the geological faculty - "Glaciology". For more than 30 years he has been leading glaciological practices in Elbrus region, giving lectures at the School of Young Geographers, at the Institute for Advanced Studies of Teachers in Nalchik , in Kabardino-Balkaria .

For more than 20 years he has been leading the winter expeditions of the NSO of the department and is one of the organizers of student research at the faculty. Under her leadership, protected about 100 coursework and diploma student work, among which many winners of various competitions. She supervises the scientific work and the preparation of dissertations of masters and post-graduate students of the department, under her leadership two candidate dissertations .

Since 1992, is the supervisor of the Elbrus educational and scientific base of the geographical faculty of Moscow State University .

Member of the Editorial Board of the Materials of Glaciological Research .
