Biography
He studied political sciences, commerce and law. He worked all his life in the insurance service ( 1947 - 1981 ). He began to write poetry in the mid-1950s. Fascinated by Zen Buddhism , in the 1970s he came to a free form of fragment and aphorism . Since 1974 he published the spiritual search magazine Port-des-Singes , where the texts of R. Char , A. Michaud , I. Bonfois , F. Jacquote , Heidegger , A. Porchia , John Donne , Octavio Paz , Roberto Huarros , Robert Frost , Basil Rozanova , R. Domalya , Blake , Yanosh Pilinsky , Tao Yuanming and others (9 issues came out). Highly appreciated by a narrow circle of friends (Rene Char, Henri Michaud, later - Bonfois, Jacquot), but avoiding publicity and rarely typing what was written, Jourdan gained a wider readership only after his death.
Died of lung cancer.
