Mexico at the 2000 Summer Olympics

Mexico participated in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney ( Australia ) for the nineteenth time in its history, and won one gold, two silver, three bronze medals. The national team consisted of 78 athletes (52 men, 26 women).

  Judo

Judo competitions were held on the knockout system. The consolation rounds included athletes who lost to the semifinalists of the tournament. Two athletes who won in the consolation round fought for the bronze medals against the losers in the semi-finals.
