For the first time, she began performing in public at the age of 11 at the Royal Ballet at the Kennedy Center. Before her television debut in 1993, she changed many professions, working as a porter at a dance school, as a model, as a waitress, as a seller in a clothing store, and also as a singer. In 1996 , after a number of minor roles on television, she appeared in the TV series “The Amazing Journeys of Hercules ”, where she played the role of the goddess Aphrodite for the next three years. From 1997 to 2001, she also embodied this image in her sister series, Xena, Warrior Princess . After the show was over, Tyding almost stopped filming, performing only a couple of small roles on television.
The actress is married to Ben Luzzatto, from whom she bore two daughters in 2004 and in 2006 . Currently, Tydings lives in Washington, where she teaches rock and roll yoga . [one]
