The BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role has been awarded by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts since 1969 for its roles in films that appeared on the screen the year before the award. In 1981, at the 34th BAFTA ceremony for the achievements of 1980, the award to the best secondary actors was not presented.
