Sorokin, Sergey Borisovich

Sergey Sorokin graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Theater Arts , a course of A. V. Petrov with a degree in musical theater. From 2004 to 2008 he performed as a soloist in the Looking Glass Theater (St. Petersburg), where he played in most theater performances. Of the major roles in the theater Through the Looking Glass, he played the roles of Rinuccio in Puccini ’s opera Gianni Schicchi , Bilbo Baggins in Lvovich’s musical The Hobbit, Prince Edward in Podgaits’s opera The Prince and the Pauper, Goncalve in Ravel ’s opera The Spanish Hour Bernstein ’s musical “West Side Story” , Missing in the performance of the Great Patriotic War “Wait for me” and many others.

In 2008, he was invited by the St. Petersburg Rachmaninoff Society to participate in the St. Petersburg premiere of S.V. Rachmaninov ’s opera “Monna Vanna” (directed by Irina Taymanova, Marina Golyakova) as Borso.

Moscow

Sorokin played the role of Dindon (Coxword) in the Russian production of the musical Beauty and the Beast , the role of the King in the musical The Bremen Town Musicians , and Kota-Behemoth in the opera-fantasy Valentin Ovsyannikov “The Master and Margarita” , which was on the stage of the Moscow Children's Variety Theater , Apprentice Hunter in the musical “An Ordinary Miracle”, Leshey in the musical “Lukomorye”, Prof. Abronsius, Kukol and solo Nightmare in the musical Roman Polanski's “Vampire Ball” (musical comedy theater, St. Petersburg, then Moscow, Stage entertainment), members show "Broadway Star" by Igor Portnoy and opera show "Angels". Conducts an active concert activity. His repertoire includes works written both for tenor and countertenor, including ancient music.

As a producer and director, he put on the show “Broken Hearts Bar”. Member and artistic director of the creative association Four.

As the director of the production, the second director and one of the authors of the idea, he released the first theater series in Russia in the immersive format Dom19 | 07 ^[2] . The premiere of the performance took place on December 16, 2017 in the city estate of A.K. Polivanov , opening a new theater space in Moscow. In the play "House 19 | 07" Sergey played one of the main roles - the role of Evgeny Stepanovich.
