Biography
Bogdan Titomir was born on March 16, 1967 in Odessa in the family of Pyotr Ivanovich Titomir [4] and Zinaida Vasilievna, her maiden name is Titorenko, her ancestors are Zaporizhzhya Cossacks, and her parents are engineers. The father taught his son how to play the guitar, his mother wrote him to the pool, he is a candidate for a master of sports in swimming [4] . Father abused alcohol, and parents divorced [4] . As a child, Bogdan Titomir studied music (piano) and wanted to enter the conservatory.
There is conflicting information regarding the place of birth of Bogdan. According to some teachers of Sumy secondary school number 7, Titomir studied here. Among the former students of the school there are several legends about her visit to Bogdan after graduation. Some of them claim that once, being already popular, Bogdan Titomir arrived in the school yard by car and scattered dollars for several minutes. Reliable information about this event has not been preserved, except for the following:
From 1989 to 1997 I studied at the 7th school in Sumy. In the spring of 1995, we were sitting at an English lesson, suddenly a student of a nearby class ran in with a cry - Titomir arrived. We all ran away from class to the school entrance. A jeep circled around the school, with a bunch of headlights on top, with Moscow numbers. Then the jeep stopped, the windows fell - Titomir sat on the side, didn’t scatter dollars for sure, but began to distribute his music disks and cartridges with games for consoles to everyone who was near the window (then they were popular). He talked with students, said that he liked to study at our school, etc. When almost all the teachers ran out with the principal, he left. A week later, on ORT, they showed his interview, which was filmed in Sumy, in his mother’s apartment, on Metallurgov Street. For an interview, in fact, he came to Sumy. My music teacher said that he took guitar lessons from her, he was very talented.
Kar-Man Group
In October 1989, the Kar-Man group was formed, conceived as an “exotic pop duet” by Sergei Lemokh and Bogdan Titomir, who previously worked with Vladimir Maltsev (who was the director of the Soyuz leisure center in the Perovsky district of Moscow, from which he subsequently the famous Soyuz recording studio was formed), playing keyboards and bass, respectively [6] . The duo released a breakthrough album [7] around the world and quickly became popular.
By the end of 1991, Bogdan Titomir left the group and began a solo career. Lemoh rewrote the vocals for several songs of the second album "Karmania", which was released in 1992 in his solo performance.
After the Karmen
Bogdan Titomir became the first popular Russian hip-hop artist . At the same time, the " Bachelor Party " and Lika Star appeared on the scene. Bogdan was distinguished by the exploitation of sexuality , which was hypertrophied at the time, as well as an attempt to bring ideology to the simple and sometimes awkward lyrics (recitative) of his songs. The High Energy movement, which coincides with the name of the most popular album, was invented and actively advertised. The rapid gain in popularity of Titomir was facilitated by the production of Sergei Lisovsky . In particular, the first clips of “Nonsense” and “ Do Like Me ” were played on the 2 × 2 channel several times a day for several weeks at the most popular time. CNN channel dedicated a whole report from Moscow to Bogdan Titomir, and Leonid Parfyonov devoted a whole release of his documentary project “Portrait on the Background” ( Ostankino Channel 1 ), in which the author designated the singer as a person personifying the 90s. It was there that the phrase “People haws” (in the original it sounded like: “People, the public ... everything haws”) was heard from Titomir’s mouth, which later became winged [8] [9] .
Bogdan Titomir is considered the first rapper of Russia [10] .
Between 1992-1995, Bogdan recorded three albums.
The X-Love album (Greatest Love) is a dance album with a lot of techno style, but differs from the classic hits of the High Energy era with a greater focus on the techno music style.
In the late 1990s, Bogdan Titomir temporarily disappeared from the stage, went to the United States (by his own admission, for advanced training). He lived there for several years, received a residence permit. A few years later he returned to Russia. Today, the stage image of Bogdan Titomir is Che Guevara , the singer leads a healthy lifestyle, does not use drugs .
In the 2000s, he also began to act as a DJ, and in 2006 released the album "Freedom" (limited edition). Clips were released for the songs “Life is so Short” (by Basta ) and “100% Hit”.
In 2007 he shot the video “Do as I Do!” - 2007 [11] , directed by Vladimir Lert .
On March 4, 2008, MTV Russia began showing the show “Star of the Strip”, hosted by Titomir and Masha Malinovskaya [12] .
In May 2008, Titomir and rapper Tuman made a joint video for the song “Bixes” [13] , in which the future Miss Russia 2009 Sofia Rudyeva took part. The video was directed by Konstantin Cherepkov . In the same year, at the Kazantip Z16 festival, Titomir made a video for the song “On Its Own” [14] . A duet with Timati “Dirty Twigs” (“They Will Be Punished”) was also filmed.
In 2009, the video for the song “Crisis” was released, and in March 2010 another new video “Superstar” was released.
At the end of 2010, the double album “Tender and Rough” was released, which consists of 2 discs, each of which contains 13 tracks. Many musicians took part in the recording: Profit, Smokey Mo, Bess, Big D, Fun2Mass (Avakov-Pushkarev-Serebryakov), Fidel’s Children, Dzhigan, Fog. On the first disc "Gentle" Bogdan Titomir, deprived of the usual brutality, performs tracks in the R&B style that he is full and satisfied with life. On the second disc under the name "Rough" Titomir appears in a more familiar playboy image. The soundtracks exploit many of the achievements of Titomir in the mid-90s and are made in rap style.
In 2011, together with the television channel “ Pepper ”, Titomir released the album “Very Important Pepper” [15] .
At the beginning of 2012, he appeared in the special project Citizen Rapper for the October issue of Sobaka.ru magazine [16] .
