Eolotripids

Eolotripids [1] ( lat. Aeolothripidae) is a family of thrips . Mostly from the Holarctic region , although some species are found in the arid areas of the subtropics, as well as more than a dozen in Australia. Adult individuals and larvae are usually found in plants, but pupate in the soil. Most feed on plants , but there are species that predate while hunting other arthropods.
