Construction History

Enlisted in the Navy of the USSR March 15, 1950. Laid at the factory number 190 named. A.A. Zhdanova May 24, 1951 (building number 611), launched on November 17, 1951, transferred to the Navy on August 5, 1952. On August 11, the Soviet naval flag was hoisted on the ship, at the same time the destroyer joined the Soviet Navy [1] .

Service

On August 11, 1952, the "Shrewd" was part of the 4th Navy, and from December 24, 1955, in connection with the disbandment of the 4th Navy, it became part of the Red Banner Baltic Fleet .

From October 15 to 18, 1953, the destroyer Smetlivy paid a visit to Gdynia ( Poland ) and from October 12 to 17, 1955 to Portsmouth ( Great Britain ). November 14, 1955 allocated for transfer to Egypt, but the transfer took place through Poland, the transfer of the ship from Gdynia to Alexandria was carried out under the Polish flag. On June 11, 1956, the destroyer was transferred to the Alexandria Navy of Egypt with renaming to Al Zaffer (Al-Zaffer), was disbanded on July 18, and expelled from the Soviet Navy on July 30 [1] .

In 1985, disarmed and sold by the Egyptian command for scrapping [1] .
