The People's Republic of China participated in the 1988 Winter Olympics , but did not win a single medal. Thirteen athletes (eight men and five women) from China took part in three sports: figure skating, cross-country skiing and speed skating. The best result was the fourteenth place, taken in figure skating competitions.
