Successfully performed in youth competitions: champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina ( 1957 and 1958 ); in the championship of Yugoslavia 1960 - 2nd place. In the championships of Yugoslavia (best results): 1970 - 1-2nd, 1975 - 1st, 1978 - 3-4th, 1981 - 2nd, 1984 - 2-3rd places.
Winner of FIDE Zone Tournaments: Prayadi Rocha (1978) and Becic (1981). Participant in interzonal tournaments: Rio de Janeiro ( 1979 ) - 13-14th; Moscow ( 1982 ) - 10-11th; Syrac ( 1987 ) - 11-12th places. As part of the national team of Yugoslavia, he participated in several European championships and a number of olympiads ( 1974 - 1990 ).
