Fetyaska , or white fetishka ( rum. Fetească alba ) - a grape variety and wine from this variety.
The homeland of the variety is Romania and Moldova . Distributed in Bulgaria , Hungary and Ukraine under the name " Leanka ". This variety is mentioned in the assortment of Moldavian vineyards from the middle of the XVI century . Fetyaska refers to the early varieties. It is medium resistant to fungal diseases and unstable to phylloxera , tolerates low temperatures relatively well, but is damaged by spring frosts. It gives a high yield - at least 10-12 tons per hectare .
Almost all Moldovan wine companies in their assortment of wines offer Fetascu. There is a street with the same name in the underground wine city of the Cricova industrial complex, but at present, Fetyaska wine is not made there due to the lack of raw materials.
Fetyaska is used for making canteens and sparkling wines. The aroma of wine contains peach, apricot, flowers.
There is also a dark-colored variety “black fetash” ( rum. Fetească Neagră ).
