The population of the commune over the past 60 years.
Culture
Astrup House
On the territory of the commune on the southern shore of Lake Jolstravatn there is a detached house and farm where the artist Nikolai Astrup (1880-1928) lived most of his life. Currently, the house functions as a museum, the situation is maintained the same as it was in the time of Astrup, there is a collection of paintings by the artist. Many plots for the works of Astrup were taken from the landscapes surrounding the lake [1] .
