The faceless

The leader of the group, Michael Keane, was born in 1986 in a family of musicians. He started playing guitar from the age of five. The Faceless band itself was formed by Keane in 2004 in Encino, California with bassist Brandon Giffin. They recorded their debut album Akeldama in 2006, taking an active part in touring with bands such as Necrophagist , Decapitated , Nile and The Black Dahlia Murder . During the recording of the Akeldama album, drummer Brett Batdorf left the band; new drummer Nick Pearce recorded the drum part of the album of the same name. The group changed many temporary drummers before the arrival of current drummer Lyle Cooper. In November 2008, they released their second album, Planetary Duality . In January 2009, the band went on a North American tour with Meshuggah and Cynic , and in February 2009 on another North American tour with Cannibal Corpse , Neuraxis and Obscura . Following the group went on a tour of the United States with teams such as In Flames , Between The Buried And Me , and 3 Inches of Blood , then a tour with Dying Fetus. The group was confirmed to tour Europe as a member of the Bonercrusher Fest in winter 2010, side by side with The Black Dahlia Murder , 3 Inches of Blood , Necrophobic , Obscura , Carnifex and Ingested .
