Russian Chess Championship among boys and girls from 10 to 18 years old

The Russian Chess Championship among boys and girls from 10 to 18 years old is held with the aim of popularizing chess among Russian boys and girls, identifying the strongest young chess players and identifying participants in the World and European Championships. Overall management of the competition is provided by the Russian Chess Federation . The final part of the competition since 2002 is held in the city of Sochi in the recreation complex “ Dagomys ”.

Since 2011, due to the closure of Dagomys OK for repairs, the competitions are held in the Aqua Loo Recreation Complex. Beginning in 2013, the names of age categories were changed (instead of “up to ten years” became “up to eleven years”, etc.), while the rules for admission of participants by age remained the same.

According to the results of the competition, champions are entitled to play at the World Championships in their age groups. Silver winners receive the right to speak at the European Championship.
