DistributionIt occurs in the Northern and Eastern states of the USA , Mexico and Guatemala [2] .
DescriptionThe wingspan is from 8 to 11.5 cm. The color of the wings is green or greenish, plain. Fore wings are triangular in shape, with a crescent-shaped apex. Hind wings with lyre-elongated anal corners, in the form of tails, which are supported by elongated and curved veins. Antennae bilaterally pinnate.
Caterpillar Feed PlantsCaterpillar forage plants: paper birch ( Betula papyrifera ), hickory ( Carya ), walnut ( Juglans ), sumac ( Rhus ), persimmon virginia ( Diospyros virginiana ) and liquid-bearing lard ( Liquidambar styraciflua ). [2]
