Almadi ( French Pointe des Almadies ) is a cape on the Cape Verde Peninsula in Senegal [1] [2] . The most western point of Africa [1] [2] [3] .

The coast of the cape is abrasion - bay [2] .
History
It was visited by the Phoenicians in the 7th – 6th centuries BC [1] , of the Europeans it was first achieved by the Portuguese navigator Dinis Dias in 1444 [4] [5] (according to other sources in 1445 [2] ).
