History
The volost was formed by the merger of the Golubovskaya , Rozhnovsky and parts of the Kulag volosts of the Klintsovsky district . Later, part of the Great-Topal volost of Novozybkovsky district was transferred to its structure.
In 1929 , with the introduction of the district division, the volost was abolished, and on its territorial basis the Klintsy district of the Western region (now part of the Bryansk region ) was formed.
