Ecology
Adults feed on nectar and pollen from common hogweed ( Heracleum sphondylium ). Larvae feed on the leaves of some species of the genus willow ( Salix ), birch ( Betula ), hawthorn ( Crataegus ) [2] and mountain ash ( Sorbus ), for example, goat willow ( Salix caprea ), fluffy birch ( Betula pubescens ), and mountain ash ( Sorbus aucuparia ) and hawthorn monoecious ( Crataegus monogyna ).
