Berghouse is an island of the Franz Josef Land archipelago. The highest point of the island is 372 meters. Administratively refers to the Primorsky district of the Arkhangelsk region of Russia .

The island is located in the northern part of the archipelago, 1.5 kilometers south of Halle Island at the entrance to the Hydrographs Bay .
It has a rounded shape with a diameter of about 2.3 kilometers. Almost completely free of ice. Most of the island is occupied by a high, 372 meters, gently sloping rock with sand-covered slopes. The rest of the island is occupied by rare rocky placers.
The island got its name in honor of the German cartographer .
