Biography
Curry was born in Akron , Ohio , and in the same hospital as LeBron James . He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina , where his father, Dell Curry, spent 10 years speaking for the Charlotte Hornets team. Father often took Stephen and his younger brother Seth to their games, where they participated in the team's pre-match workouts. As a child, Stephen attended the Montessori School , which was organized by his mother, Sonya. [3] . Stephen's father, Dell Curry , a former professional basketball player who has spent 16 years in various NBA clubs, is currently a commentator on Charlotte Hornets . Stephen's mother, Sonya, played for the volleyball team of the Virginia Polytechnic University . Stephen's younger brother, Seth Curry , also plays basketball, studied at Duke University , and in the 2013/14 season was a player of the Golden State Warriors [4] [5] .
Stephen graduated from high school Charlotte. As part of the school team, Curry joined the symbolic conference teams and the state; he helped the team three times to reach the playoffs of the state championship. After graduation, Curry wanted to continue his studies at his parents' alma mater , at the Virginia Polytechnic University, but this university did not offer him a sports scholarship, so Stephen chose the modest in North Carolina . Davidson College (2006–2009)
For three years of study at Davidson College, Curry played 104 games, averaging 25.3 points, making 4.5 recruits and 3.7 assists . Then Curry set a three-pointer record for the season (286), which he will beat (402) next season, and by more than a hundred three-point ones. Thanks to this season, Curry became one of the best players and sniper in the NBA. In the playoffs , the Golden State beat New Orleans Pelicans in the first round in the dry. In the second round, losing in the series 2-1, “Warriors” managed to win 3 victories in a row over the “ Memphis Grizzlies ”. In the final of the conference, the basketball players of the Golden State defeated the Houston Rockets with a score of 4-1 and reached the NBA Finals. In the NBA Finals , the Golden State defeated Cleveland Cavaliers 4-2 and became NBA champions.
In the 2015/2016 season, the Golden State Warriors set the NBA record of all time, winning 73 matches in the regular season and breaking the record for the Chicago Bulls (72 wins).
