Laid down at the Bath Iron Works , Bath Me shipyard on April 12, 1939 . Serial number: 181. Launched on September 14, 1940 , entered service on December 4, 1940 . Put in reserve on June 3, 1946 . Expelled from the U.S. Navy on January 24, 1951 .
January 22, 1951 transferred to Greece, where on April 18, 1951 introduced as a destroyer under the name (ΑΝΤΙΤΟΡΠΙΛΛΙΚΟ) 65 "Niki" ("ΝΙΚΗ"). Expelled in 1972 and in the same year dismantled.
