Laid down at the Bath Iron Works , Bath Me shipyard on May 16, 1938 . Serial number: 177. Launched on December 9, 1939 , entered service on June 14, 1940 . It was withdrawn to the reserve on May 8, 1946 . Expelled from the U.S. Navy on November 1, 1969 . Sold June 29, 1972 to Southern Scrap Materials Co. LTD. ”, New Orleans and dismantled.
