Keith Urban (Keith Lionel Urban) ( born Keith Lionel Urban , born October 26, 1967 , New Zealand , Fangarei ) is an Australian country singer, composer and guitarist, whose commercial success has largely developed in the United States of America and Australia. Urban began his career in Brisbane , moving at an early age to the city of Caboolture, located on the coast of Australia. In 1991, he released his self-titled debut album, which was in fourth place in the Australian hit parade, after which in 1992 he moved to the United States. First, Urban earns money as a guitarist, and then collects a group called " The Ranch ", at the studio of Capitol Records, they record the album " The Ranch ", two singles from which hit the Billboard chart .

After signing with Capitol, in 1999 he recorded his solo album “ Keith Urban ”. The album received Platinum status in the USA, taking first place for the song “ But for the Grace of God ”. The next major achievement was number one hit, “Somebody Like You,” from his second album, Golden Road , released on Capitol in 2002. This album also received its first Grammy Award for the fourth single, “You'll Think of Me,” and was the third platinum album of his career. The next album, “ Be Here, ” was released in 2004, it was his third album, released in America, which became the best-selling album, earning the 4th Multi-Platinum Award.
The album Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing , released in 2006, debuts on the 17th line charts with the single “Once in a Lifetime”, and also receives a second Grammy for the song “Stupid Boy”, later in late 2007 , the Greatest Hits compilation entitled Greatest Hits: 18 Kids is released. This album was re-released a year later as “Greatest Hits: 19 Kids,” with one song, “You Look Good in My Shirt,” added earlier on the Golden Road album. Keith's next work is Defying Gravity , which was released in March 2009. The last album was released on November 16, 2010, and it is called "Get Closer".
Keith released a total of eight studio albums (only one of which was released in England ), as well as The Ranch. He appeared with over fifteen singles on the American charts of the country, including ten songs with number one. Biography and career
Origin
Keith Lionel Urban was born in Fangarei , New Zealand , but later moved and lived with his parents in Caboolture, Queensland , Australia . At six, Urban was already thinking of connecting his life with music. He began to study music at the age of seven, and at eight already won competitions among young performers.
A few years later, he began regular TV appearances on the Reg Lindsay Country Homestead program, the Mike McClellands music program, and various other television programs, performing in a duet with Jenny Wilson and local Brisbane girls with whom he won gold awards at guitar in Tamworth. He also regularly performs on stage in the northern suburbs of Country Music Club [1] near Caboolture.
In 1990, he signed a contract with the EMI record company in Australia and recorded his first self-titled solo album, which ended up fourth in the Australian charts, in New Zealand and Germany. In 1993-1994, Keith toured as a singer with singer Slim Dusty. In the mid-1990s, Dusty and Urban re-recorded Dusty's classic song “Lights on the Hill” in a duet, and Urban first appeared in the Grand Ole Opry show in support of Dusty. [2]
In 1992, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee , where he found a job as a guitarist with Brooks & Dunn, hoping for support from Alan Jackson in his music video for Mercury Blues. Urban later brings together The Ranch , a three-member band that records one album in 1997. In 1998, Urban disbanded the originally created The Ranch band to begin a solo career. In 1999, Urban found singer Brett Manning "Vocal Coach to the Stars," and worked with him until 2001.
In Nashville, he became addicted to cocaine. [3] After reaching his lowest point in 1998, he decided to give up his habit and settled in Cumberland Heights, Nashville's medical center. After treatment, Urban came out as a renewed person, no longer touched cocaine and his career went up. In 1999, Urban released the self-titled album in America, from which the 5 best hits came out, providing him with the Academy of Country Music's Best Young Country Artist Award in 2001, as well as the 2001 Country Music Association's Horizon Award. Widely known for his guitar skills, he performed as a session musician on Garth Brooks 'Double Live album, Dixie Chicks ' Fly album, and Paul Brandt's 'This Time Around' .

Golden Road and Be Here
In 2002, Urban released the album Golden Road, and the success of the song Somebody Like You was the impetus for promoting his career upstairs. Touring with renowned country artists such as Brooks & Dunn, Martina McBride and Kenny Chesney, Urban honed his skills and mastery in practice. Country Music Video Channel CMT has sponsored Urban’s first tour, entitled “ Keith Urban Be Here '04, ” featuring singer Katrina Elam. Defying Gravity
Keith recently announced that the single for its upcoming fifth studio album will be called "Sweet Thing." This song became the first single of the album. The song was co-written with Monty Powell, who wrote some of Keith's past hits, as well as with his long-time producer Dann Huff . Defying Gravity was released March 31, 2009 via Capitol Records. His second single, "Kiss a Girl" [6] , debuted in March 2009. Keith performed the song on American Idol during the season 8 finale in a duet with winner Kris Allen. His third single, “Only You Can Love Me This Way”, is another hit song on the charts, co-written by Steve McEwan and John Reid. [2] Defying Gravity debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200. It was Urban's first CD album with such success. His last two albums debuted in 3rd place.
Keith Urban received four nominations for four consecutive years from the CMA Awards, including "Entertainer Of The Year" and "Male Vocalist Of The Year" in 2009. He also received the album title of the year for Defying Gravity and, sharing a place with Brad Paisley , in the nomination Music Video Of The Year and Start A Band. The premiere video for the song “Hit The Ground Runnin '” took place on October 2 on CMT and CMT.com.
Keith Urban was on a tour called Escape Together in 2009. He discovered many great talents, including the name Taylor Swift, Sugarland and Jason Aldean. On June 27, Keith shot a video for his new song “Only You Can Love Me This Way” at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. On May 5, 2010, during a CNN flood show in Nashville, Keith announced that he was about to start recording a new album, but all of his guitars are currently under water. The 2010 summer tour of the summer lovin tour, which Keith was going to, consisted mainly of festival shows.
Get Closer
In May 2010, Kit sits in the studio to begin work on a new album. [7] The recording process was recorded on the blog on its official website. In early September, it was announced that the album would be called “Get Closer” and will be released on November 16. Married to an American actress of Australian descent Nicole Kidman (who was Tom Cruise's second wife in 1990-2001). The wedding took place on June 25, 2006.
